Opens Brussels Outpost

NEW YORK said it would make its first foray into continental Europe as part of an international expansion plan set by new CEO Dave Eastman.

The Omnicom Group-owned Web shop is adding an office in Brussels, Belgium, joining its London outpost abroad. The agency plans further international expansion, eyeing other markets in Europe, as well as fast-growing markets like China and South Africa.

TBWA formed the office by merging its Hypervision Web agency into the network, which is aligned with TBWA and Tequila. Omnicom is aligning with the traditional agency network to make integrated offerings to clients. Hypervision already operated within the TBWA network.

The Brussels office begins with 27 employees and clients that include Mitsubishi Motors and Samsonite.

Eastman was named CEO of earlier this month following the resignation of Don Scales. Eastman, who led’s London office prior to his appointment as chief executive, has identified international expansion and alignment with TBWA and Tequila as his top priorities.
