Crowley Webb and Associates was hired by Praxis Communications to create marketing-communications programs that focus on clinical-research studies for two pharmaceutical companies. The Brentwood, Tenn.-based client specializes in recruiting patients for such studies. CWA, which is based in Buffalo, created advertising and site-support materials for a phase III cardiovascular-disease trial that is being conducted at 250 U.S. research sites. The agency’s work for that project included print ads, brochures and support materials for doctors’ offices; the enrollment goal for the study is 1,000 patients. CWA also created a patient-recruitment campaign for two clinical-research studies in which the safety and effectiveness of a medication approved by the FDA for adult use are being tested for pediatric use. The enrollment goal for these trials is a total of 250 people to participate at 46 sites nationwide. The shop’s work for this project included developing a Web site, direct mail, physician-information kits, print ads and public relations.

Cine International and DRSA merged to form a new TV-commercial-production com pany. The new entity, a division of Screen Gems, is known as Cine/DRSA International and is based in New York. Both Cine International, a commercial-production company that was originally a division of Columbia Pictures, and directors’ agency DRSA were based in New York. Cine/DRSA International is headed by exec utive producers/partners Valerie Light, Paul Rosen and Donald Stogo. The company has production offices in Sydney, Australia; Buda pest, Hungary; Hong Kong; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Capetown, South Africa; and London.


Gianettino & Meredith won 12 Jasper Awards from the Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association at a gala held on Oct. 11 in Holmdel. The Short Hills-based advertising agency received seven gold awards for its work for Resorts Atlantic City Casino Hotel, ShopRite, NY Waterway, and Dry Dock Restaurants. G&M won these awards in the Television, Radio, Newspaper, Magazine and Outdoor categories; the agency’s other five awards were silvers.


Elias/Savion Advertising was tapped to cre ate a corporate-identity campaign for the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. The Pittsburgh-based agency is also charged with developing marketing collateral and promotional materials for the client, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving downtown Pittsburgh. As part of the campaign, Elias/ Savion created a new logo for the partnership and designed its annual publication, The Ultimate Shop & Dine Downtown Guide, which also provides information on the city’s arts organizations, sporting events and hotels. In addition, the shop will handle the launch of the client’s holiday events, among other promotions. Elias/ Savion provides advertising, marketing, public relations and interactive services.

Newtown Square-based Mattis Direct Marketing was tapped by the Philadelphia Eagles football team to help market prem ium seating at the new Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The agency will work with client vice president of marketing and premium services Jason Gonella, Decision One Graphics in Philadelphia and Anro Printing in Devon to create a marketing campaign that will include direct mail, telephone and e-mail components, as well as private stadium tours.

Jim McGorman of SBK Pictures directed a new campaign for cable provider Comcast’s Video-on-Demand service. The effort was created by Philadelphia-based advertising agency Red Tettemer and recently began airing nationally. Ardmore-based SBK Pictures provides film direction and production for commercials, tourism efforts and IMAX movies.
