Doremus recently beat Omnicom Group sister shop TBWA\Chiat\Day to land ad duties for the business-to-business portion of Bank of America’s account. Spending is estimated at $20 million. Masius, New York, also pitched the account, but in the end, the contest was between Doremus and TBWA\C\D, both New York. DraftWorldwide in New York withdrew before final presentations. Previously, the account was with Bozell in New York, which also handles the consumer portion. Bozell did not participate in the review, which was managed by Kiernan Group, a Wilton, Conn., consultancy.

Warren Kremer Paino added leather-goods brand T. Anthony Ltd. to its client roster. The New York-based brand-advertising agency will provide creative, account planning, media buying and production services to New York-based T. Anthony, which produces and markets luggage, handbags, business cases, accessories and gifts. Warren Kremer Paino will also create e-commerce marketing programs for the client. Separately, Winning Strategies Advertising, a Mount Laurel, N.J.-based unit of Warren Kremer Paino, was named Cooper Health System’s agency. It will handle branding, strategic development, ad production and media placement for the Camden-based academic medical center. Winning Strategies’ first assignment for the client is a branding campaign.

Marketing-communications shop Spring, O’Brien was tapped to provide strategic counsel and marketing-communications services in economic development, travel and tourism, and real estate initiatives to The St. Joe Co. The goal of these efforts is to promote Northwest Florida as “Florida’s Great Northwest.” The Jacksonville, Fla.-based client is a private landowner. Its account is worth $1 million. Spring, O’Brien is based in New York and also has offices in Morristown, N.J., London and Atlanta, among other cities.

French hosiery brand Textiles Well SA hired Zic cardi Partners Frierson Mee’s Paris office to launch a new lingerie line. The campaign, set to break this spring, will include print and outdoor. Textiles Well SA is based in Le Vigan, France. The New York-based agency specializes in luxury and style brands.

Lou Hammond & Associates was named public relations agency for Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort on Grand Bahama Island in the Bahamas. The New York-based shop was hired to create a communications and marketing program that will position the resort as a premier desti nation in the Caribbean. Lou Hammond & Associates also has offices in Kalamazoo, Mich., and Toronto.


Short Hills-based Sentrix Global Health Communications was hired to promote DSM Pharmaceuticals’ pharmaceutical-manufacturing services in the U.S., as well as handle the client’s U.S. corporate-identity program. DSM is a Greenville, N.C.-based contract manufacturer. Sentrix is a healthcare network within Young & Rubicam.


The Automation Network Solutions division of Hirschmann Electronics named The Simon Group in Sellersville as its marketing- communications agency. The client, whose North American headquarters are in Pine Brook, N.J., provides industrial Ethernet networking and interconnect solutions for industrial-factory automation. The business-to-business shop specializes in high-tech and industrial accounts, especially in electronics and instrumentation. Hirschmann Electronics is a division of Aditron AG in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Elkman/Alexander & Partners was awarded a three-year contract for the City of Phil adelphia Recycling Office. The goal of the project is to promote recycling programs and services among city residents and cut down on litter. The Philadelphia-based marketing-communications agency beat 19 other shops to win the account.

Harrisburg-based Knezic/Pavone Advertising won The Patriot-News’ advertising account, following a review. The agency is charged with helping to create a cohesive marketing strategy for the Harrisburg-based newspaper, which recently established a new press facility. The paper services readers in central Pennsylvania. Marketing efforts will include repositioning the brand, rolling out new sections and products, media placement, and public relations. A campaign that will include print, among other components, is set to break early this year.
