CONNECTICUT West Hartford-based MCS Advertising & Production has added the Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Co. in Rocky Hill and the Hispanic Health Council in Hartford to its client roster. Separately, radio commercials created by the agency for Hitchcock Furniture were recognized as finalists in the 1997 Silver Microphone Awards competition. In addition, a spot created by MCS for the Law Offices of Paul N. Shapera titled "Golf" won a Telly Award for excellence in television commercial production. Radio ads created by Marquardt & Roche/Meditz & Hackett in Stamford for the Copper Development Association were recognized at the 1997 Silver Microphone Awards competition as the top commercials for an institutional or professional client. The winning ads educate homebuyers on the benefits of copper plumbing. KGA Advertising in Middletown has met the criteria for membership into the American Association of Advertising Agencies in New York. Remington Products Co. in Bridgeport has named Source Marketing in Westport its promotions agency. The shop initially will focus on the introduction of shavers and personal-care products for women, although it will handle promotions across all of the client's product lines. MASSACHUSETTS The Weber Group in Cambridge has been named public relations agency for Positive Support Review, a management consulting firm in Santa Monica, Calif. Creative Media Group, a video communications firm in Needham, has partnered with Culver Co., a publishing company with offices in Massachusetts and California, to provide video, print and Web development services to clients. Terms of the partnership were not disclosed. Silverweave Interactive in Boston has launched a Web site for Bay State Computer Group (www.bscg.com). Watertown-based design firm Hatmaker has been awarded an assignment from Universal Studios. The agency will design and position a new network called "13th Street," which will be devoted to action and suspense programming. Dimond Communications Group has relocated to 441 Stuart St. in Boston. LoConte Goldman Design in Boston has created new title sequences for KTLA, the Los Angeles-based television station that recently joined the Warner Bros. station group. Kortenhaus Communications in Boston has been tapped to handle public relations and marketing chores for Willowbee & Kent Travel Co. in Boston. JK Studios in Waltham has completed a 30-second television commercial for Berkeley Grille; collateral and special event materials for the Newton Boys & Girls Clubs; a 1998 summer camp brochure for the Fessenden School of Newton; flyers and signage materials for the International School of Weston; and a basketball camp brochure for the Meadowbrook School of Weston. Doerr Associates in Winchester has been selected by Congress Group Ventures to spearhead the leasing promotion of Museum Tower residences, a 24-story complex due to open in Cambridge this summer. Peter Arnold Associates in Boston has been tapped to handle public relations duties for Tyngsboro-based NetWave, a provider of software designed to help children navigate the Internet. Tweeter etc., a consumer electronics chain based in Canton, has revamped its Web site (www.tweeter.com) to give customers "live" access to Tweeter sales associates for updates on products, prices and policies. Smash, a Boston-based agency specializing in broadcast promotion, has created a campaign for Comcast Cable to promote the company's "Five Star Festival," a nine-week package of original programming and popular shows culled from A&E, HBO, Showtime, ESPN, Disney and other channels. Smash's effort revolves around television commercials featuring "Mr. Five Star," a fictitious Comcast executive who supports the festival. NEW HAMPSHIRE Graphito in Portsmouth has been named agency of record by Jewelry Creations in Dover. RHODE ISLAND East Providence-based Donnelly & Duncan has been tapped by two clients for integrated marketing communications chores. They are Darex, Grace Container Products in Lexington, Mass., and C&K Components in Watertown, Mass. VERMONT Capacitor Design Network of Burlington and Nidecker Snowboards in Williston recently co-hosted a benefit party for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont.
