Grant/Jacoby, Chicago, acquired public relations firm Marcy Monyek and Associates, also in Chicago. Coopers & Lybrand named Dragonette, Chicago, its public relations agency for the Midwest. Simantel Group, Peoria, was chosen to provide advertising and marketing services for Advanced Technology Services. Dean Foods' Dean Dip and Dressing Co. unit named Sanchez Healy, Chicago, to handle advertising and promotion targeted to Hispanics. Nissan Forklift Corp. North America named Omnia Marketing & Design Communications, Rockford, as its agency for business marketing. INDIANA Marketing Unlimited, Indianapolis, was named agency of record for 16th Street Speedway, Indy Public Auto Auction and Interiors Plus. Hickman + Associates in Indianapolis was chosen as agency of record for North American Technician Excellence, which represents manufacturers, contractors and technicians in the heating and air conditioning industry. AVL Scientific selected CRE MAROM, Indianapolis, to develop a strategic marketing communications program. IOWA Thomas C. Porter & Associates, Des Moines, was selected to develop a marketing communications plan for the Iowa Association of Business and Industry. MICHIGAN Alan Frank & Associates, Bloomfield Hills, gained ad responsibilities for KFC co-ops in Albany/Schenectady, N.Y., and in Gainesville, Fla. The Berline Group, Bloomfield Hills, will serve as agency of record for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. Mid-American Products, a plastic injection molding company, selected Stap & Co., Kalamazoo, as its agency of record. Mackie's World named Sefton Associates in Grand Rapids agency of record for its mall for children. MINNESOTA Hunt Adkins, Minneapolis, was assigned responsibilities for creative development and strategic planning for SCIMED Life Systems. Peterson Milla Hooks, Minneapolis, was tapped as agency of record for United Way in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn. Whitney Morse Braun, Minneapolis, was named agency of record for the Pioneer Press newspaper. OHIO Freedman, Gibson & White, Cincinnati, added public relations responsibilities for Bigg's Hyper Shoppes supermarkets.
