Lotas Minard Patton McIver has won a “multi-million dollar print assignment” from client Renaissance Cosmetics. The New York shop picked up Chantilly, Tabu, and Tinkerbell, all of which had been handled by McCabe & Co., New York.
Needleman Pila, New York, was tapped by Confederate Motorcycles, Baton Rouge, La., as the company’s first full-service advertising agency. The shop will develop a $3 million corporate branding effort to launch in the fall, including national advertising, dealer support and event marketing.
A.G. Krakow & Associates/AgitProp, New York, has added three clients to its roster: A-Cute Derm, a line of specialized skin treatments; Colony Records, a record store located in New York; and Eiji, a New York hair stylist.

Saatchi & Saatchi Business Communications, Rochester, has won a national Addy from the American Advertising Federation for its campaign for the Lupus Foundation of America. The shop had already been honored for the print work, titled “Lupus: Stop the sickness,” in local and regional Addy competitions.
Gavin Anderson & Co., New York, has acquired Pro Valorem, a financial communications company based in Paris.
SKC Advertising, Harrison, took home 19 trophies from the Ad Club of Westchester’s Big W awards recently. The shop received six gold awards, six silver trophies and seven bronze honors in categories such as newspapers, consumer magazines, trade magazines and TV commercials.
The latest faces behind the print campaign for Rockport by Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, New York, are “drag superstar” RuPaul and actor John Leguizamo, the star of Broadway’s Freak. The caption: “I’m comfortable being a man.” A less surprising shot of an animated Leguizamo carries the caption: “I’m comfortable laughing at myself.” The tagline remains: “Be comfortable. Uncompromise. Start with your feet.”

Renegade Marketing Group, New York, has launched the “Panasonic Shock America Tour” on behalf of Panasonic Consumer Electronics. A 72-foot-tractor trailer, designed to be an “interactive exhibit hall on wheels,” will travel through 36 cities in the next 10 months. The truck is outfitted with Panasonic’s latest audio and video gear.
Direct marketing shop Rapp Collins Worldwide, New York, has formed an alliance with The Customer Management Group, based in Boston.
Margeotes/Fertitta + Partners, New York, broke a new ad campaign for Fort Lee, N.J.-based Carrilon Importers’ Stolichnaya Vodka on July 1. Six new print ads, running in national and regional publications such as Playboy, GQ, Gourmet and The Wine Spectator, will tout the new Stoli Flavors Russian Vodka line.

Gillespie in Princeton was tapped by Conectiv, a Wilmington, Del.-based energy company, to handle creative and media duties on its $10 million account. According to John Heinritz, Conectiv conducted a review of a dozen shops from Baltimore to New Jersey and selected Gillespie for its “outstanding creative capabilities.” The incumbent on the account was W.B. Doner & Co., Baltimore. The client and agency parted ways in April.
Richartz & Fliss Integrated Marketing Communications, Denville, has picked up three accounts: Insulcast, a Roseland-based manufacturer of epoxies, silicon and urethane products; Hawker Eternacell, a lithium battery manufacturer for the commercial and military markets; and METO, a labeling systems manufacturer.
UDV North America, Fort Lee, has tapped New York-based Cairns & Associates to promote the “Brush with red” promotion for its Campari liquor brand in four cities: New York, Miami, San Francisco and Chicago.

Earle Palmer Brown, Philadelphia, has won a 1998 Bronze Anvil award from the Public Relations Society of America for an 18-screen video wall created for client Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, Greenville, N.C. HalperinCreative, a video production company in Doylestown, has completed a 30-second spot for franchise painting company Certa ProPainters.
