Jaffe & Partners, a New York-based advertising and marketing communications shop, has formed a strategic alliance with Eons Ahead, an Internet services company. The Media Edge, the worldwide media services unit of Young & Rubicam, has tapped Mediasteve in New York as its U.S. press relations representative. Pisarkiewicz Mazur & Co. in New York has won creative and media chores on a comprehensive branding, advertising and merchandising effort for Cybersmith, a chain of interactive technology centers. The shop also created a series of window posters for the Kmart store in New York's Greenwich Village. Ad Methods Halpern & Eurich, Hauppauge, has created an interactive compact disc for potential clients, billed as a "talking agency brochure." Transfusion in New York has won the roughly $1 million advertising business of Aires magazine, an upscale lifestyle publication to be sent to 100,000 potential readers with a net worth of $1 million or more in the New York area. The tagline for the campaign will be, "Aires. The art of making it. The pleasure of spending it." Towne Silverstein Rotter, New York, has won the advertising business of Giochi Preziosi Toys, estimated at $4-6 million. GP, one of Italy's largest toy companies, is launching a line in the U.S. The shop also won the $2-4 million account of yo-yo manufacturer Yomega Corp. Young & Rubicam in New York has created a new series of National Football League-themed TV spots for Campbell Soup Co.'s $40 million marketing effort to back Chunky Soup's league sponsorship. A series of new TV spots feature John Elway, Terrell Davis and Neil Smith, who play for the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos. The tagline is, "The soup that fills you up right." Market Development Co., New York, has formed a subsidiary, Sarbin Performance Audits, to monitor the performance of promotional materials in the music, entertainment and financial industries. New York agency Lou Hammond & Associates has added two accounts: the resort division of MeriStar Hotels & Resorts and the Montrƒal Museum of Fine Arts. Duncanson & Holt Group, an accident and health reinsurance manager, has selected New York marketing and communications shop Rainbow Media as its Web site partner. Rainbow will roll out the first phase of the client's Web site Oct. 1. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown has signed a multi-year representation agreement with New York-based sports marketing agency SportsLink. Nielsen Media Research, New York, has entered into a contract to provide media information services to the Omnicom Group shops: BBDO Worldwide, Creative Media, DDB Needham, GSD&M, TBWA/ Chiat/Day, Advanswers and Martin Williams. A deadline has been set for entries to the 1999 International Andy Awards. Domestic entries will be accepted through Friday, Nov. 6 and international entries through Friday, Dec. 11. NEW JERSEY PrincetonMarkeTech in Princeton has completed a major revision of the Web site it developed for client Sermatech International, a manufacturer of precision turbine components and provider of protective coatings and component repairs for flight and ground turbomachinery. Gilbert, Whitney & Johns in Parsippany has created a trade print campaign for Cerebus Pyrotronics' Cymphany Integrated System, a fire and security alarm system. A full page ad tagged, "A special breed of integrated system" appears in publications such as Access Control and Security Systems. PENNSYLVANIA Al Paul Lefton, Philadelphia, was tapped to handle public relations for chemical-products manufacturer Elf Autochem's acquisition of Rohm & Haas' 50 percent interest in AutoHaas. Formerly a joint venture of the two companies, AutoHaas manufactures and markets Plexiglas. Eugene Perry Advertising in Liverpool, Pa., was named a national finalist in the 1998 Silver Microphone Awards. It was honored as a national finalist in the healthcare category for a spot created for Shamokin Area Community Hospital. The Philadelphia-based Tele-Responses Center, a telemarketing agency specializing in fundraising and public awareness campaigns, has agreed to recruit 25,000 volunteers for the National March of Dimes' annual Mothers March campaign. CONNECTICUT Berni Design, Greenwich, has won five awards for its work on two product launches for Castrol North America in Wayne, N.J. The shop's brand identification and packaging program for Castrol Syntec Blend received an American Graphic Design award and an Automotive Aftermarket Global Design award. It was also honored by the Brand Design Association and the Advertising Club of Westchester County. Berni's brand identification and packaging program for Castrol's motorcycle oil line was honored in the BDA and Ad Club of Westchester competitions. Genova & Partners in Greenwich was awarded the advertising business of the Coastal Fairfield County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
