DALLAS – Chief Auto Parts put its $7-million account in review last week. A source said contenders are incumbent Davis, Ball & Colombatto and Eisaman, Johns & Laws, both Los Angeles; Berry-Brown and Tracy-Locke/DDB Needham, both Dallas; the Lee Tilford Agency/Austin, Texas; and Bernstein-Rein/Kansas City. CAP spent almost $5 million in 1992, according to Competitive Media Reporting, but the client told agencies billings would be $7 million.
