After TFA/Burnett, Akamai Chooses A ‘Team Approach’

Citing the need for a marketing approach that mirrors the “lightning-fast, ever-evolving, 24×7 nature of our business,” Akamai Technologies has named several shops for its account, said Akamai official Wendy Ziner.
Replacing TFA/Leo Burnett Technology Group here [Adweek, March 6] as lead creative shop is Smith & Associates of Stevenson, Md. Corporate Graphics, Boston, was tapped for interactive marketing. Rare Medium, Dallas, and Dynamind, New York, will work on Web design. Carat Freeman, Newton, Mass., retains media buying. Spending was not disclosed.
The Cambridge, Mass., company, a provider of e-business solutions, has been a high flyer on Wall Street, trading around $270 per share.
