LOS ANGELES Gregory Solman has joined Adweek as West Coast editor.

Solman, 45, has more than 20 years of journalism experience. His background includes stints as editor in chief of Variety’s On Production and 10 years as senior editor of Millimeter, a motion picture, television and commercial production trade. Over that period, his film criticism has appeared on Express.com as well as in Film Comment magazine, The Boston Phoenix, and on radio and television.

“After years of reporting on commercial production and post, I’m very excited about covering the driving forces of the advertising industry,” said Solman.
