Ads Urge Nutmeg State to ‘Keep Moving’

BOSTON Cashman & Katz has unveiled a statewide public awareness campaign for a group called Keep CT Moving. The effort employs both paid media and public relations.

The goal, according to the independent agency in Glastonbury, Conn., is to promote a greater investment in Connecticut’s transportation system.

“Keep CT Moving recognized early that the only way public officials would support more investment in our transportation system would be if they believed the people were behind it,” said Dean Pagani, the agency’s vice president of public affairs.

Print, billboards and radio are all in the mix, urging consumers to keep the pressure on state government to take action this year. The advertising invites people to the organization’s Web site, where they are encouraged to contact legislators, the governor and candidates for office.

Members of Keep CT Moving include professional associations and labor unions involved in the construction and transportation fields.

Campaign spending is undisclosed.
