Adkins Assumes AAF 10th District Post

DALLAS Susan Adkins has been named second lieutenant governor of the American Advertising Federation’s 10th District, the organization said.

Elected to her new post at the association’s recent annual convention in Oklahoma City, Adkins will oversee operations for the 10th District, which includes the areas of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

As second lieutenant governor, Adkins will serve on the executive committee of the 10th District and oversee the work of several district committees. Since this office advances automatically, Adkins will move up to first lieutenant governor in 2005-06 and will serve as governor of the district in 2006-07. As governor, she will also serve on the National Council of Governors, which is comprised of governors from 15 AAF districts.

Adkins, who has been active in the 10th District for 10 years, has served on the Advertising Club of Fort Worth’s board of directors, was the club’s president from 1997-98 and received the Silver Medal award in 2003.

Adkins is the founder and owner of Adkins and Associates Advertising in Fort Worth, Texas.
