DALLAS Square One and GSD&M were the top winners at the Dallas Ad League’s Addy Awards last night, while GCG captured the most prizes at the Fort Worth chapter’s competition.

At the Dallas Addys, Square One’s seven awards included best of show, one silver and five bronzes. Square One won the best of show award for its Urban Home campaign. The Omnicom Group’s GSD&M, which is based in Austin, Texas, and has a Dallas office, received the most awards Thursday night with one gold, six silvers and 11 bronzes. (The agency won 50 awards at the Austin Addys last week.)

At the Advertising Club of Fort Worth’s Addy Awards, held last Saturday, GCG won 29 prizes, including best of show, a special judges award, 12 golds, eight silvers and seven bronzes. Its best of show award was for its “Edward S. Curtis” campaign on behalf of the Amon Carter Museum. The special judges award went to GCG’s entry titled “There’s No Warmer Place Than Alaska.”

Other Fort Worth winners included Blanchard Schaefer Advertising (six golds and four silvers) of Arlington, Texas, Witherspoon Advertising and Public Relations (four golds, five silvers and 10 bronzes) and Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. (four golds, nine silvers and two bronzes).
