Addy Awards Roundup in 3 Texas Cities

DALLAS GSD&M, GCG Advertising and Creative Link took home top honors last week at their respective Addy competitions.

At the Dallas Ad League’s ceremony last Thursday, GSD&M won three gold, seven silver and 12 bronze awards. The Austin, Texas-based shop also received best of show for Dial’s “Bus” TV spot.

Other top winners included Dallas’ Square One Advertising, which won four golds, seven silvers and two bronzes, and Irving, Texas-based Temerlin McClain, which received one silver and 10 bronzes. In addition to 14 Addys, Square One also earned best of show print for its Urban Home campaign.

At the Ad Club of Fort Worth’s awards presentation last Saturday, GCG Advertising won 16 gold, 16 silver and eight bronze awards. Other local winners included Witherspoon Advertising and Public Relations, which received 12 golds, 13 silvers and 11 bronzes, and RadioShack’s Circle R Group, which won nine golds, eight silvers and 16 bronzes.

In addition, Circle R Group also received best of show for its “Innovative Accessories” print campaign, while Fort Worth’s fusion29 visual communication won best of show for its “proof29” self-promotional brochure.

At the San Antonio Ad Federation’s Addy Awards earlier this month, Creative Link won eight golds, seven silvers and 11 bronzes. Other local winners included the Thompson Agency (nine gold, 11 silver and four bronze), Creative Civilization (four silver and 17 bronze) and Bromley Communications (14 gold, two silver and one bronze).

Bromley also took home best of show honors for Burger King’s “Golden Fist” TV campaign.
