Adding Up Adweek’s Classified Ads for Jobs takes

Looking at the volume of help-wanted ads in Adweek, an untutored eye might fail to see an improvement in the market for jobs in advertising, media and marketing. (Must be all those unsightly minus signs.) But the true connoisseur of our classifieds data will note that the negative numbers are less negative than those of a few months ago. More to the point, March was 20 percent better than February, and February was 11 percent better than January. If this keeps up, someday we’ll again run a number with a plus sign in front of it.
