The market for jobs in advertising, media and marketing has gone into hibernation, judging from the volume of help-wanted ads in Adweek. Those of you who reminisce about the classified data of earlier decades will recall that the statistics for August 1991—when the nation was starting to climb out of a certifiable recession—were stronger than those for August 2001.
