Adamson Lands Supervalu’s Save-A-Lot

CHICAGO Adamson Advertising was named lead agency for the limited-assortment grocery chain Save-A-Lot, without a review.

The St. Louis agency will provide strategic planning, creative and handle all media buying and planning for the Supervalu subsidiary.

Also based in St. Louis, Save-A-Lot is growing rapidly and plans to significantly increase its store roster over the next five years, the company stated.

Save-A-Lot spent $5 million in advertising last year, according to CMR. The budget for the company’s new marketing initiatives from Adamson was not disclosed.
