Richard Levy, president and chief operating officer of Adair-Greene, has been promoted to chief executive officer.

As CEO, Levy, 38, succeeds Warren Greene, who becomes chairman.

Levy joined the Interpublic Group agen-cy in 1995 to head up the Atlanta shop’s healthcare division. Previously, he was vice president of Torre Renta Lazur in Parsippany, N.J.

“Rich has quintupled the agency’s business in seven years,” said Greene. “As head of healthcare, he brought in blue-chip accounts and added a world-class staff to service our clients.”

Separately, Adair-Greene last week won an account from Biovail Pharmaceutical following a review against Euro RSCG’s Becker Consumer Health in New York and incumbent Natrel Communications in Parsippany.
