Ad of the Day: United Healthcare Reminds Us Why Dirty Dancing Is Best Left to the Pros

Might not be the time of your life

We've all been there—the opening chords of "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack begin to play, and there's only one appropriate thing to do.

Whether you're at a wedding, birthday party or '80s throwback night, there'll be at least one couple or set of drunk besties who clear the dance floor and attempt their best Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey impression. Oh, and spolier—it rarely ends well.

Well, the latest 60-second spot from United Healthcare and agency Leo Burnett features this familiar construct in the form of a cautionary tale about a couple trying to replicate the famous scene. It's also promoting the insurer's Virtual Doctor service, among other features.

So, take a look … and take this as a warning for next time you try to channel your inner dirty dancer.
