Acuity Gets Georgia Lottery’s Web Work

ATLANTA Acuity said it has been selected by the Georgia Lottery Corp. to redevelop its Web Site.

According to the Atlanta shop, the redesigned site will launch in June and feature new graphics, added functionality, information on new games, updated navigation and payouts.

Ten Atlanta companies, including Blue Marble Media, CommLink (What’s Up) Interactive, Digital Position and GCI Interactive, competed for the two-year account, said Carey Mackesey, the Georgia Lottery’s director of public and government relations.

Acuity will partner with Objectware, also in Atlanta, to provide Web hosting and back-end programming. The Internet specialist also will ensure that the site is available at all times and capable of handling a large volume of users. The client said it hopes that the site redesign will increase awareness of the lottery and its fundraising initiatives.

“Since its launch in 1993, the lottery has continued to expand and offer a variety of games,” said Gail Tassell, president of Acuity. “The site revitalization is an opportunity to help the client expand and enhance its educational funding for the state.”

Client billings were not disclosed.
