Acclaim Entertainment, a Glen Cove, N.Y.-based console games maker, has kicked off an integrated marketing campaign to support “Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2,” a sequel to the popular game title for PlayStation 2. The campaign will include national TV, radio, print and online. Spending is estimated at $4 million.

For national TV, 30 and 15-second spots will air on MTV, ESPN, FOX Sports and WWF programming beginning this month. For online, banner ads will run across various gaming enthusiast sites, and a promotional giveaway will be featured on the game’s dedicated consumer site, located at www.acclaimmaxsports.com.
