The social stigma that men face while reaching out for emotional support is an ongoing concern, but many experts believe that talking things through with a friend can prevent individuals from hitting a crisis point. The challenge of lowering defenses in a world that tells us that “boys don’t cry” can be one of the biggest barriers when it comes to improving mental health.

To that end, Australian creative agency The Hallway is encouraging men to open up in a heartfelt PSA, which was created in partnership with the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Mental Health and Gotcha4Life.
