BOSTON The Massachusetts State Lottery Commission this week will hear presentations from three agencies vying for its $5 million ad account, sources said.

They are: Interpublic Group shops Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston and Mullen in Wenham, Mass., and independent Clarke Goward of Boston, sources said. A client representative declined to identify the agencies presenting or discuss the review until it is completed. A decision is expected by Oct. 1.

The commission, seeking its first agency in five years, initially sent questionnaires to about 40 agencies in July [Adweek Online, July 23].
