3 to Grow On at Hoffman/Lewis

SAN FRANCISCO Hoffman/Lewis has won three new accounts, adding an estimated $15 million to its annual billings.

Among the wins were Earthbound Farm of San Juan Bautista, Calif. The San Francisco agency will create a national consumer print campaign for this producer of bagged, organic salad greens. The campaign is expected to break by this summer. The $200 million organic produce company previously handled its advertising in-house. The shop acquired the business without a review.

Rancho Cordova, Calif.-based VSP (Vision Service Plan) also awarded its account to Hoffman/Lewis after a three-month review process. The other agencies involved were not disclosed. Hoffman/Lewis CEO Bob Hoffman said the independent agency will work on a brand awareness campaign for the eye-care insurer. “They want to be more well known as advocates for healthy eyes,” Hoffman said.

Hoffman/Lewis also won the account for Beverages & More! following a review. Contenders could not be determined. The Concord, Calif., retailer operates a chain of 28 wine, spirits and beer superstores in California as well as an online store, BevMo.com. The agency will develop a consumer advertising campaign for the regional retailer.

The individual billings for each client were not disclosed.

Hoffman/Lewis appears to be bucking the downward spiral of other San Francisco Bay Area agencies, which are still feeling the crunch of the dot-com fallout.

“We’re growing and we feel very fortunate,” said Hoffman. “The wins are all quality companies, so this is a very good start to the year.”

Hoffman/Lewis’ annual billings exceed $100 million. The agency’s client roster also includes McDonald’s and the Northern California Toyota Dealers.
