3 Finalists Vie for TIAA-CREF

NEW YORK Three shops remain in contention for TIAA-CREF’s $20 million ad account and are slated to present to company CEO Herb Allison in the next week, the client has confirmed.

The finalists are Omnicom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York, independent Modernista! in Boston, and the incumbent, WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather in New York, the client said. Siltanen Keehn of El Segundo, Calif., previously identified by Adweek Online as a finalist, was cut prior to the final round.

New York-based TIAA-CREF, which offers pensions, annuities and insurance to teachers, academic administrators and institutions, could not immediately be reached.
