CHICAGO Buffets Inc. has cut to four the number of agencies vying for the client’s ad account, according to AAR Partners, the consulting company overseeing the review.

Contending for the business are incumbent BBDO in Minneapolis, an Omnicom Group shop; Interpublic Group’s Lowe and independent Christy MacDougall Mitchell Bodden, both in New York; and Doner, an indie shop in Southfield Mich., according to a representative for AAR. Briefings are scheduled for later this week; presentations have not been scheduled, according to the representative.
