2 Addys For Bromley TV

Bromley, Aguilar & Associates of San Antonio topped the Southwest winners last week in Minneapolis, receiving two national Addys for Burger King and Levi Strauss & Co. television spots.
Four other Southwest entrants–Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods (CJRW) in Little Rock, Ark.; Big in San Antonio; and Lopez Negrete Communications and Fogarty Klein & Partners, both in Houston–each won single Addys.
CJRW won for a Central Arkansas Public Library newspaper ad, Big for its stationery design, Lopez Negrete for a Texas Lottery TV commercial and Fogarty for a Community Partners public service campaign.
The awards were presented at the American Advertising Federation’s national conference in Minneapolis on Saturday.
For the first time in at least 20 years, a single agency won best of show in the print and television categories. Cliff Freeman and Partners, New York, earned best of print for a Sauza Conmemorativo te-quila ad and best of TV for a Fox Television spot. The shop took home seven other Addys for clients including Staples and Little Caesars.
New York agencies led the way with a combined 16 awards, followed by 14 for Minneapolis shops. Fallon McElligott was the top Minneapolis finisher, with 7 for BMW, Holiday Inn, Miller Lite, Time, Nikon School and Hammerquist & Saffel.
Eighty-one Addys were awarded, along with 152 citations of excellence.
Guy Bommarito, former executive creative director at GSD&M in Austin, Texas, was one of seven judges at this year’s competition.
