Twitter Donates $1 Million to CPJ and IWMF, CDC Foundation Fundraiser on Facebook, Instagram Adds Co-Watching

“Right now, every journalist is a COVID-19 journalist,” Twitter legal, policy and trust and safety lead Vijaya Gadde said in a blog post explaining the social network’s donation of $1 million to be evenly distributed between the Committee to Protect Journalists and the International Women’s Media Foundation. Additionally, Instagram revealed a host of updates related to the coronavirus pandemic Tuesday, highlighted by the rollout of Co-Watching, which enables people to view posts on the Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network together while they are video chatting. (Adweek)

Instagram also said it would include more educational resources in Instagram Search, add stickers to promote accurate information, as well as remove COVID-19-related misinformation. (Mashable)
