Spotify Partners with Driift for Ticketed Virtual Concert Series

Fans who are still hesitant about in-person concerts have another way to enjoy their favorite artists thanks to Spotify. (Billboard)

Spotify announced the launch of a new feature designed to provide a live-show experience remotely. The series of shows starts with dates this month and next and include names like The Black Keys, Rag’n’Bone Man, Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff, Leon Bridges and girl in red. (TechCrunch)

The performances will be available through spotify.live for $15 each and the company says the events will last 40-75 minutes. A new concert will stream each week for five weeks. (Engadget)

The streams all are prerecorded but can only be viewed at a given time through the web browser. The shows aren’t available on demand, and they aren’t accessible through the Spotify app. (The Verge)
