Netflix Dominates 2020 Emmy Nominations with a Record-Setting 160 Nods

Netflix once again came out on top in Emmy nominations. (Adweek)

The streamer smashed the record for most nominations of any network, studio or streaming service with 160, breaking the record set by HBO last year. HBO came in second with 107 nominations. (NYT)

Disney+ leads the pack of first-time nominees with 19 total nominations, followed by Apple TV+ with 18 nominations and Quibi with 10 nominations. (THR)

HBO’s limited series Watchmen scored 26 nods, the most of any program. On the comedy side, Amazon Prime Video’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel garnered 20 nominations—the same as last year. (Variety)

Ozark and Succession shared the title of most nominated drama with 18 awards apiece, and The Mandalorian and Schitt’s Creek nabbed 15 total nods each. The Emmy Awards will air Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, in a ceremony hosted, once again, by Jimmy Kimmel. (Vanity Fair / HWD)
