Hulu has picked up eight episodes of Veronica Mars to air in 2019. As part of the deal for the new episodes, the streamer has also acquired rights from producer Warner Bros. for the first three seasons of the UPN/CW series and the Kickstarter-funded 2014 feature film. (THR / Live Feed)

Bell will reprise her role as the title character. Created by Thomas, Veronica Mars was a critical darling and developed a devoted following during its three-season run from 2004-2007 on UPN and then on the CW. (Deadline)

Additionally, Get Out writer and director Jordan Peele will host and narrate a new Twilight Zone series, CBS announced on Thursday. (HuffPost)

Peele is producing the series with CBS Television Studios and Simon Kinberg for CBS All Access. Peele steps into the on-camera role originated by Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling, who introduced and provided narration for episodes of the series during its 1959-1964 run. (Variety)
