Hope Hicks to Return to White House After Nearly Two-Year Absence

Hope Hicks, a close aide to President Trump who resigned nearly two years ago, will return to the White House in a new role, administration officials said Thursday. (NYT)

Hicks, 31, served as White House communications director from September 2017 until her resignation in March 2018. After leaving the White House, she took a job as the chief communications officer at Fox. (HuffPost)

Hicks will not return to the White House in a communications-focused role. Instead, she will return as counselor and senior advisor to President Trump and do projects with Jared Kushner and White House political director Brian Jack.(TVNewser)

It was not immediately clear who would succeed her at Fox, but a statement from a Fox spokesperson said that the company would name a new chief communications officer “in the near future.” (THR)
