Ed Henry’s Defamation Suit Against CNN, NPR Dismissed

By Brad Pareso

A defamation suit filed against CNN and NPR brought on by former Fox News anchor Ed Henry has been voluntarily dismissed. The lawsuit, filed last summer, was “dismissed with prejudice” by the Southern District of New York court. (TVNewser)

Henry initially alleged last year that journalists at the two outlets—which induced NPR media reporter David Folkenflik, CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter and anchor Alisyn Camerota—had “longstanding grudges against Fox News and/or individuals associated with the company” that guided their reporting on his firing. Henry, a former fixture at Fox News, was let go in 2020 amid sexual misconduct allegations. After his firing, Folkenflik reported network executives were warned not to elevate Henry to top positions. (Mediaite)
