CNN Captures Most Viewers on Impeachment Day

CNN was the go-to network for coverage of the House of Representatives’ second vote to impeach President Trump on Wednesday afternoon. (TVNewser)

For the period from 12:30 p.m. ET to 4:45 p.m. ET, CNN drew 3.95 million viewers, followed by MSNBC with 2.69 million and Fox News with 1.48 million, according to Nielsen. (Deadline)

ABC also provided live coverage during that window, drawing 2.4 million people, while CBS came on at 4:22 p.m. to show the vote on the article of impeachment. That 22-minute special report brought in 1.9 million viewers. Together, the five outlets averaged 12.43 million viewers. (THR / Live Feed)

In prime time, CNN again dominated in total viewers and the demo, with 3.844 million and 1.21 million respectively. MSNBC was a very close second in total viewers, with 3.842 million total viewers and 749,000 in the demo, and Fox was third, with 3.14 million total viewers and 609,000 in the demo. (Mediaite)
