CBSN Rebrands as CBS News Streaming Network, Will Feature New Original Programming

By Brad Pareso

CBSN has now been rebranded as the CBS News Streaming Network. The newly reimagined, expanded channel will feature a slate of new original shows, a lineup featuring anchors and reporters from across the organization and it will originate from a new state-of-the-art studio at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York. The service is adding new original programs that will feature CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell and CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King. O’Donnell will host Person to Person, a revival of the interview program associated with legendary CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow. King will front CBS Reports, a long-form news program that takes its name from the documentaries the network was known for in its heyday of the 1960s and ’70s. (LA Times / Company Town)

The announcements come as there has been some speculation about the future plans for King and O’Donnell, whose contracts reportedly expire this spring. CNN reported last week that King has decided to renew. (Deadline)
