Brian Williams Signs Off from MSNBC for Final Time

Brian Williams and NBC News’ 28-year relationship has come to an end. The longtime newscaster and host of MSNBC’s The 11th Hour with Brian Williams ended his show Thursday evening with a goodbye—and a warning to viewers on the state of democracy. (TVNewser)

“After 28 years of peacock logos on much of what I own, it is my choice now to jump without a net into the great unknown. As I do for the first time in my 62 years, my biggest worry is for my country,” Williams said during his 11 p.m. show. (The Hill)

With Williams’ departure, MSNBC’s schedule for Friday included the premiere of MSNBC Films documentary Paper & Glue in Williams’ spot. Beginning Monday, The 11th Hour will welcome a rotating cast of guest hosts. (USA Today)
