Zambezi Expands Creative Department With 5 Hires

Los Angeles agency Zambezi expanded its creative department with the arrival of five new hires.

Zambezi welcomed creative directors Alexandra Sann and Jeff Siegel, art director Stacie Larsen, senior copywriter Kristi Lira and designer Stephanie DeAngelis. Each of the new hires will work across Zambezi’s client roster and report to partner, chief creative officer Gavin Lester.

Sann joins Zambezi following two years as a freelance creative director and copywriter, working with clients including AT&T, Netflix and Nestlé. Before going freelance she held roles at agencies including CP+B, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Deutsch and Ogilvy & Mather. Over the course of her career, she has worked with clients including Old Navy, Applebee’s, PayPal company Braintree Payments and Grey Poupon, for which she worked on the 2013 spot “The Chase.”

Siegel joins Zambezi from CP+B, where he spent nearly four years as vice president, creative director, leading creative for Letgo, Vonage, Cuervo and the Washington Lottery. He has previously held roles at Energy BBDO, Cole and Weber, Publicis West and Walrus.

Larsen arrives from Preacher, where she spent around a year and a half as art director for clients including Vimeo, SimpliSafe, Tommy John, CuvéeCoffee and The Container Store. She previously was an art director at Fitzgerald & Co., where she worked with clients including Coca-Cola, Checkers & Rally, Navy Federal Credit Union, Pergo and MedExpress.

Lira, “1st of Her Name, Queen of Copy, Khaleesi of the Great Lakes, Solver of Problems & Mother of Draft Beers,” joins the agency from San Francisco agency Cutwater, where she worked on the digital and social account for Brawny, including on the brand’s “#StrengthHasNoGender” campaign. Before that she spent around a year at DDB Chicago, where she helped defend the McDonald’s account and worked on Capital One.

DeAngelis is formerly a senior graphic designer at Rihanna‘s Savage x Fenty brand and Clique Brands. Previously, she has led creative on Target, Estee Lauder and Nordstrom. She has also spent time as a freelance illustrator for The New York Times,Zappos, Martha Stewart, Revlon, Anthropologie, Bon Appétit and others  featured artist at 29Rooms from Refinery29 and is a featured artist at 29Rooms from Refinery29.
