“Scandinavia has always had a strong design heritage,” Work & Co. design partner Casey Sheehan said in a statement. “The region also leads the way when it comes to work-life balance, a core value of our company since the start. Our strategy for opening offices has always been to go where the best talent prefers to live. Copenhagen is another of those hubs.”

The agency is opening the new office in part to better serve new client partner Ikea.

“Work & Co’s known for its track record of defining and launching the world’s best digital experiences —especially in retail. That’s why we chose them to help Ikea improve engagement with our customers across e-commerce, mobile shopping and in-store experiences.,” Ikea chief digital officer Barbara Martin Coppola said in a statement. “We envision a long partnership with Work & Co and I couldn’t be happier to collaborate even more closely withtheir newest European office, just across the river from our Malmo headquarters.”

Work & Co. has worked with Europe-based clients including Rapha, Mercedes-Benz, Canyon Bicycles, and LVMH since opening in 2013. In addition to Ikea, the agency’s current roster includes Facebook, Virgin America, Target, Chase, Planned Parenthood, Aldo, Disney, Marriott and the NBA.
