W+K Welcomes Back Melanie Myers

By Kiran Aditham

After a three-year absence, Melanie Myers has returned to the Wieden + Kennedy fold to take on the role of global director of creative resources. Myers left the agency’s Portland office in 2007 after 11 years to start her own creative consulting and recruiting firm WNTD, which will still operate with her former partners.

In a statement, Myers says she was lured back to W+K because of “the opportunity to experience the chaos of the unknown at the agency I grew up in,” adding that co-founder/CEO Dan Wieden “has magic powers.” Wieden himself states that it helps that Myers is “mad as a hatter” and says that no one is better at “finding and keeping the most talented, idiosyncratic people on the planet.”
