W+K New York Promotes Jerome Austria to ECD

By Kiran Aditham

Wieden + Kennedy NY didn’t have to look too far to find a suitable replacement for Todd Waterbury, who officially left the agency on May 1. W+K has now promoted Jerome Austria to executive creative director. Austria joined W+K’s Big Apple office in 2008 and has served as interactive CD on projects like ESPN Monday Night Football Interactive Storefronts, Nike’s “Force Fate” campaign and “Leroy Smith” for Brand Jordan.

Prior to joining Wieden, Austria spent two years at AKQA as the creative director for Coca-Cola’s global digital work and was also an ACD at R/GA, where he worked on the pitch team that won Nike’s digital AOR business.
