Who Stays and Who Goes: Put it to a Vote

By Matt Van Hoven

Update: We’re hearing they’re a Belgian shop, not French.

Someone sent us to what may very well be the most morbid layoff Web site we’ve seen to date. YouChooseWeFire.be is (save for its Web address) completely written in French, but thanks to our crack translation team (mediabistro’s Blake Gernstetter) we were able to translate the information presented therein.

As best we can tell, the folks at C4 (or So Nice, not sure of the shop’s name) are in a tough spot. They have to lay someone off by the end of January, ’09. The problem is, they like all their employees so much that they’ve put it to a vote as to who will get laid off. Check out the Web site, where you’ll see the (presumably real) faces of potential victims.

Apparently, only one person must go. But who? If we’ve mistranslated this thing, please let us know. Crazy Frenchies.
