-Mother London has promoted six-year vet/head of brand & new business Sara Tate to the newly created role of managing director.

-New Haven, CT-based agency Digital Surgeons has hired Humongo/Modem Media alum Rob Kurfehs as director of creative strategy.

-Creative agency 77 Ventures and espnW collaborated on the first brand promo for the latter called “Girls Like Us,” which debuted last night (above).

-From what tipsters tell us, the search is down to four cities–Detroit, Chicago, Charlotte and Austin–that are vying to play host to the X Games from 2014-2016. A decision could be made this week and Detroit, for example, is plastering the hashtag #XG2D all over town as part of its effort. Here’s one example from local agency, Skidmore Studio.
