Webbys Announce Interactive Ad Nominations

BBDO leads the pack with 16 nominations at the 14th Webby Awards, which also unveiled its interactive advertising nominees today. The list in said category includes BETC Euro RSCG’s “Roller Babies” for Evian, BBDO’s “Love Project” for Starbucks, DDB Stockholm’s “The Fun Theory” for Volkswagen and Chiat’s Grammy Awards effort from earlier this year.

Along with BBDO’s 16 nods (including three alone for “Love Project”), other multiple nominees include DDB with nine, R/GA with seven and AKQA, Saatchi & Saatchi, W+K and Tribal DDB all with five. Though judges like R/GA’s Bob Greenberg, Ogilvy’s Lars Bastholm, the “Chief Insurgent” himself Alex Bogusky and AKQA’s Rei Inamoto will ultimately decide Webby winners, fans can have their say with the People’s Voice Awards until April 29 via the Webbys site.
