We Hear: Scott Neslund Out at Moxie? (Update: Yes, He Is)

By Kiran Aditham

Just when you thought things were winding down for the holidays….Sources and tipsters alike are chiming in that Scott Neslund, who took over as leader of Publicis/ZenithOptimedia division Moxie Interactive when founding member/CEO Joel Lunenfeld left this past for for Twitter, is no longer at the agency. Calls placed to Neslund, a former CEO of Mindshare (who may have been let go from the WPP agency) and chief exec of SF-based digital firm Red Bricks Media, have been left unanswered. Spies are saying that Neslund may have been ousted by ZenithOptimedia North American CEO Tim Jones, but we’re still trying to get some confirmation.

Update: The ZenithOptimedia camp sent out an official note saying Neslund will “potentially be taking another position within [Publicis] Groupe.” As for Moxie, former Verizon marketing exec Suzy Deering has been appointed as president of the Atlanta office and nine-year ZO vet Lou Rossi is being promoted from EVP, director, Zenith Media USA to the lead role of Moxie NY.
