Ryan Johnson, who’s been an ACD at Colorado Springs-based indie shop Vladimir Jones for two years, is being promoted to CD at the agency and will oversee work on clients ranging from Centura Health to Little Caesars. According to his personal website, Johnson also recently scored a 124 on one of those online I.Q. tests. He reportedly scored a 131 the second time, but according to Johnson, “Who likes a smarty-pants?” It would seem that Vladimir Jones, a firm that houses over 60 “exciting minds,” does.
As for background, as we mentioned above, Johnson was a copywriter at everyone’s favorite shop, Doner, working on campaigns for the U.P.S. Store, AutoTrader.com and Circuit City. A 2002 Miami Ad School graduate, Johnson (who’s affectionately referred to as “Mr. Movember” at the VJ office) had a stint at Campbell-Mithun prior to joining Doner, working on business such as General Mills and Verizon Wireless.
