Virgin Mobile Colombia Names David Bogotá Lead Agency

Soon after opening its doors, David Bogotá has its first client win.

Virgin Mobile has appointed David Bogotá as its lead agency in Colombia, Virgin’s “most important operations outside the United Kingdom,” with over 3 million users locally according to a press release, which claims Virgin Mobile is the country’s first virtual mobile operator.

David will be responsible for handling all communications work for Virgin Mobile in the region, including brand strategy, creative and media.

In a statement, Virgin Mobile Colombia marketing director Joanna Safi called David “the perfect fit” for the client, due to its shared “risk taking and innovative mindset,” adding, “we know is the way to lift experiences from the ordinary to the extraordinary for people who want to experience the Virgin Way.”

The appointment arrives on the heels of news of the new office’s opening last month and marks its first client.

“Virgin Mobile is fully representative of the customer profile that we want to have at David. It is an advertiser obsessed with creativity and we have a relationship of mutual respect and admiration. It is a brand that already challenges us to deliver the best work globally,” David Bogotá managing director Juan Pablo García said in a statement.

“In creative terms, Virgin is one of the most inspiring brands in the world,” he added.
