US and Canada Agencies Skype For Nonprofits

An annual 24-hour pro bono marketing marathon created by Madison, Wisconsin-based Knupp & Watson & Wallman (KW2) to benefit nonprofit organizations, has evolved into a creative collaboration between three un-related North American agencies.

Agencies, KW2 Luquire George Andrews (LGA), Charlotte, NC and Harvey McKinnon Associates, Vancouver, BC, will host simultaneous 24-hour Goodstock events beginning on Oct. 7, 2010.

The selected teams will be collaborating using Skype as a portal for a virtual brainstorming session where the selected nonprofit organizations will have free access to advertising, public relations and marketing experts who will produce the marketing materials they need most including print and broadcast ads, logos, public relations campaigns, videos, social media strategies and even a first time…wait for it… mobile app.

Judi Wax, executive vice president/director of public relations at LGA says in a statement, “This year, it’s clear that charitable organizations have moved into the digital age because many of the groups have asked for help with social media, but the majority also requested the basics they need to tell their stories and raise money, such as key messaging, brochures and event planning.”
