Our spies are working to confirm that the state of Michigan has lost yet another account. That is, JWT Detroit may have been dumped by Dominos — the agency had only been handling the pizza maker’s field marketing operations.
JWT became Dominos AoR back in 2002. However, the business went up for review in June of last year, as we reported. Later that year, in September, AdWeek reported that Crispin won the biz in a review over Martin and GSD&M Idea City.
No word yet on where the business is going, if it has gone anywhere at all.
Update: “This is old news…..Domino’s took the biz in house. Some of the JWT field people were offered positions, the rest were laid off.”
(ed’s note: Our spy said that no one seemed to notice or care the loss of business. Probably because it was expected and he/she wasn’t privy to that information before it went down.)
