Union Welcomes New Staffers

By Kiran Aditham

Well, this perhaps answers our inquiries about the departure of Union account director Christine Macdonald, who parted ways with the Toronto-based operation that was formerly known as CP+B during wintertime and is now working freelance. The MDC-backed agency is reporting that former Cossette/BBDO account-side staffer Megan Van Vught has joined the agency as account director.

In addition,  Ogilvy/Lowe Roche alums Glen D’Souza and Mike Takasaki, senior art director and copywriter, respectively, who have worked together since ’07, have joined in the same roles at Union, which last we heard parted ways (vice versa) with Toys “R” Us.  Says Takasaki in statement, “If you’re lucky, you get one chance in a career to get in on the ground floor of a place like this.” Union’s current client roster includes Toronto Tourism, Axe, Best Buy and Mondelez Canada (the last of which we were told the aforementioned Macdonald was working on).
