Two Deutsch Creatives Head to Content Marketing Shop 3AM

Ridley Scott of Blade Runner fame hasn’t directed an ad since the Apple spot that aired during a certain year’s Super Bowl. But his son did helm LG’s appearance in this year’s Super Bowl starring Liam Neeson. In 2014, the pair also launched 3AM, a content venture born when their production company RSA Films merged with “theatrical advertising agency Wild Card.”

Much of 3AM’s work has focused on movies, but the shop has also collaborated with agencies for projects like the one in which Droga5 and Under Armour helped promote Scott’s Matt Damon vehicle The Martian.

Now 3AM has begun hiring from the agency creative world, poaching a senior writer and art director from Deutsch’s Los Angeles office.

Josh HillCheston Kwan and Josh Hill left the Deutsch organization earlier this month to become senior art director and senior copywriter, respectively, at 3AM.

The two have been working together for several years. Most recently, both were assigned to the Taco Bell account at Deutsch, including the Super Bowl 50 Quesalupa launch.

They joined Deutsch together in early 2014 after spending several years at RPA, where they worked on such accounts as Intuit, Farmers Insurance and, of course, Honda.

Again, 3AM primarily works on film marketing. Upcoming projects for its newest creatives include 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes and Scott’s upcoming sequels to Prometheus, or the least essential film in the Alien series (excepting, of course, all things Alien vs. Predator).

Why do people keep hiring Damon Lindelof? No, really.
